What is a Guild? How can I be a part of it?
One of the best parts of our community is that it allows people to meet and make connections with others, regardless of where you live. guilds are smaller communities within Major League Hacking. Whether you come in with a guild or not, you won’t be hacking alone.
Who organized Global Hack Week?
Global Hack Week is organized by Major League Hacking (MLH). It is our mission to empower hackers worldwide by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.

Create a demo video for one of your challenges
We want you to submit a 2 minute long “demo” video of your favorite hack or hacks you made this week. Your video should show us a demo of what you built while you explain why you built it. We might play some of our favorite demos at our Closing Ceremony. Submit on our Weekend Devpost.
Redesign your Favorite Mobile Application
Ever been frustrated with how an app was laid out? We want you to pick any mobile app and imagine a new layout for it. You can simply draw it out, wireframe it, or even write the code if you’d like. Submit your hack on our Devpost.
Create a Budget Application
Knowing and understanding where your money goes is a great first step to being confident with your finances. Build a project to help you create or understand a budget and show it to us on the Devpost.
Create a One Button Game
Take a stab at one of our favorite challenges - one button games. This is exactly what it sounds like, your game can only have one button (think flappy bird) . Submit your hack on our Devpost and share it in our #play-my-game channel.
Create a Starter Pack for Someone Else
We know many of you enjoy using our Hackathon Starter Packs to learn new skills. For this challenge, we want you to help out other hackers by creating your own starter pack! This could include tutorials, starter code, or anything else you think someone needs to get started with your favorite tool, programming language, or framework. Send it to our Devpost and share it on Discord when you’re ready!
Create a Playlist Generator
The perfect playlist is key to a great day. Create an application that generates playlists. Curating based on someone’s listening habits is a classic, but feel free to choose a non-traditional input when choosing the music (like music based on what you had for breakfast or what the weather forecast is). Submit on the Devpost so we can sing your praises.
